Journal Article 2022 02 26 Religion in the Safavid period has influenced various cultural and civilizational aspects so religion was an important factor in the rise and fall of various arts in society and its registration in the historiography of this era has played a great role. In this study, the position of religion and its impact on art in five categories of historical sources including political historiography, art historiography, art treatises, travelogues and memoirs have been studied. The research method in this article is the historical and library method and with a descriptive-analytical approach seeks to answer the main question that what effect religious beliefs have on the art of the Safavid era based on the historiography of this period? The research findings indicate that the view of each of these historiographies on the issue of art is different according to the religious perspective of the society. The order of importance of arts in Safavid historiography based on religious importance is first devoted to calligraphy and in the next step and with special consideration to painting and music. مذهب در دورۀ صفویه بر جنبه‌های مختلف فرهنگی و تمدنی تأثیرگذار بوده است، به‌گونه‌ای که مذهب به­ عنوان عاملی مهم در فراز و فرود هنرهای گوناگون در جامعه و ثبت آن در تاریخ­نگاری‌ این عصر نقش زیادی داشته است. در این پژوهش جایگاه مذهب و تأثیر آن بر هنر در پنج دسته از منابع تاریخی شامل: تاریخ­نگاری سیاسی، تاریخ­نگاری هنر، رساله‌های هنری، سفرنامه‌ها و تذکره‌ها، مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. روش پژوهش در این مقاله به شیوه تاریخی و کتابخانه‌ای و با رویکردی  توصیفی- تحلیلی در پی پاسخ به این سوال اصلی است که عقاید مذهبی چه تأثیری بر هنر عصر صفویه با­تکیه ­بر تاریخ­نگاری این دوره دارد؟ یافته­های پژوهش بیانگر آن است که نوع نگاه هرکدام از این تاریخ­نگاری‌ها به مسئلۀ هنر با­توجه ­به دیدگاه مذهبی حاکم­ بر جامعه متفاوت است. ترتیب اهمیت هنرها در تاریخ­نگاری صفویه براساس اهمیت مذهبی ابتدا به خوشنویسی و در گام بعدی و با ملاحظات خاص به  نگارگری و موسیقی اختصاص دارد.  https://mag.mpte.ir/article_148917_44ed4229359ffc176ba031b2cc12d878.pdf
