Its weakness and decline have also made these thinkers think about the secret of this backwardness and decline. Therefore, each of them has tried to explain the stagnation of Islamic civilization by main and sub-factors. The thinkers of the Islamic world, Iranians, Arabs, Turks, Indians and Pakistanis, etc., with the aim of reviving and reforming and re-developing civilization, have placed this category in their field of thought. In this article, the aim is to study the views of two Muslim thinkers of the Indian subcontinent, Mohammad Iqbal and Abul Hassan Nadwi, on the decline of Islamic civilization in a descriptive-analytical way by asking the question that; What factors have these thinkers paid attention to in explaining the issue? Findings have shown that these thinkers have considered the internal factors of Islamic civilization, including religious, political, social, scientific and moral decline, along with the phenomenon of Western colonialism and its invasion of Islamic societies in the process of degeneration of Islamic culture and civilization. برآمدن و بالیدن تمدن و فرهنگ اسلامی از شگفتی­ هایی است که توجه بسیاری از اندیشه­ گران حوزۀ دین، تاریخ، تمدن، جامعه­ شناسی و علوم سیاسی را به خود جلب کرده است. ضعف و زوال آن نیز این اندیشه­ گران را به تفکر واداشته که راز این عقب­گرد و انحطاط را دریابند. از این­رو، هرکدام با اصلی و فرعی کردن عواملی، تلاش کرده ­اند که ایستایی تمدن اسلامی را تبیین کنند. اندیشه­ گران جهان اسلام، ایرانی، عرب، ترک، هند، پاکستانی و...، با هدف  احیا، اصلاح و پیشرفت دوبارۀ تمدنی، این مقوله را در حوزۀ اندیشه خود قرار داده ­اند. در این مقاله هدف، بررسی آرای محمد اقبال و ابوالحسن ندوی دو تن از اندیشه­گران مسلمان شبه­قاره هند، دربارۀ انحطاط تمدن اسلامی، به شیوة توصیفی-تحلیلی است، با طرح این پرسش که؛ این اندیشه ­گران در تبیین موضوع به چه عواملی توجه داشته­ اند؟ یافته ­های پژوهش نشان داده است که ایشان عوامل درون­ ساختاری تمدن اسلامی از جمله انحطاط اعتقادی، سیاسی، اجتماعی، علمی و اخلاقی را در فرآیند نابودی فرهنگ و تمدن اسلامی مؤثر دانست ه­اند. https://mag.mpte.ir/article_149758_29a9c9936ee0d92c5cb60948e2f989b6.pdf
